The Abbey Seal Beach is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA (opens in new tab), the recognized standard for web accessibility.
Current Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We conducted a technical accessibility audit in May 2026 using automated testing (axe-core 4.9.1) across all six pages of this site. The audit found zero automated violations. We use “partially conformant” rather than “fully conformant” because automated testing does not capture every possible accessibility consideration, and we continue to monitor the site as it evolves.
What We Have Addressed
Our May 2026 audit identified and resolved the following issues:
- Page headings — Pages that were missing a top-level heading have been corrected so each page has a clear, descriptive H1. Section headings within pages (including the Happy Hour menu) have been updated to use proper heading tags rather than styled paragraphs.
- Landmark structure — Structural landmark issues identified in the audit have been resolved to improve screen reader navigation across all pages.
- Navigation — Menu controls and links to third-party platforms have been updated with appropriate ARIA attributes to improve clarity for screen reader and keyboard users.
We review and update our accessibility work on an ongoing basis as the site evolves.

Some functionality on this website — including online ordering, rewards, and eGift cards — is provided by third-party platforms we do not control. If you experience accessibility barriers on those platforms, we encourage you to contact them directly.
